Labour and Labour Market Directorate
The Labour and Labour Market Directorate carries out administrative and other professional activities related to labour relations, labour market and employment, collective and other agreements, activities for promotion of trilateral cooperation of social partners, participation and availing of pre-accession projects within the PHARE Programme, harmonizing of Croatian legislation with the EU acquis communautaire as for instance: normative regulation of labour relations, labour market and employment, follow up of the active employment policy, follow up of equal treatment in the area of employment and labour, follow up of the exercising the rights during the unemployment period, administrative procedure with respect to application of labour market and employment regulations, providing professional assistance to entities, employers, workers and unemployed persons, promotion of trilateral cooperation of social partners, registration of associations, recording and follow up of collective agreements, promotion of collective negotiating, providing professional assistance to trade unions and employers’ unions, implementation of international agreements in the area of labour and employment, administrative control in the area of labour market and employment, follow up of international regulations in the area of labour and labour market, participation in the procedure of concluding multilateral international agreements in the area of labour and employment, implementation of active policy in the area of safety at work.
